RAPTURE RUCKUS...

This New Zealand 'grown' group has been based in the US since 2010.  Their latest album was released earlier this year.  With a fusion of genres, their music has been arresting crowds worldwide over the past decade.  Frontman Brad Dring spits out powerfilled rhymes that surge over heavy rock guitars and hip hop beats.  And it's all propelled out with a visually stunning live show; think big screen imagery and bright flashing lights.  Here's a band that packs a punch wherever they play, with an impacting stage set that many acts would reserve for stadiums.

FLAMIN' NORA

is a Waikato-based group of ruggedly handsome young gentlemen who want you to let them entertain you.

They play a range of new-school rock and pop covers such as the likes of One Direction, Bruno Mars, The Killers, Hot Chelle Rae, Maroon 5, Pink and Jet as well as the odd classic hit - something by MJ or maybe a bit of Pseudo Echo.

Flamin' Nora's style, professionalism and energy on stage makes them a perfect choice for this years Christmas at the Lake

This is a drug & alcohol free family event

loads of family fun...
Santa, Bouncy Castles & Fun Rides, Face painting, Food, etc

and many more local performing groups, such as the hamilton gospel choir, surgery circus, ElJay Hall,  MERCY, kapa haka, & MORE...

Both the Lions and some of the 'Alfresco Bites' Food suppliers will be at Christmas at the Lake this year...

See you there!

“ A voluntary gold coin bucket collection will be received to help cover expenses”

Christmas at the Lake is a bi- annual 'free' community event co-ordinated by Bridges Church with the involvement of other churches and community groups. The 'Christmas at the Lake' Event fits well with our aim of generating community spirit and goodwill as it targets a very wide demographic cross section and social mix. The sense of local pride and morale this project stimulates is highly significant as a range of community groups and service organisations work together for a common purpose. Many hundreds of volunteer hours are put in to make this a truly successful evening.

It has become an 'iconic' event for the Waipa District and there is much positive unsolicited feedback received from a wide range of people each year. Christmas at the Lake has attracted crowd of over 10,000 people.

It is an amazing opportunity for people of all ages to gather together and there is something to enjoy for everyone. People start to gather from mid afternoon to find a great spot to put down their picnic blankets and the 'family fun activities' then kick off at around 5.00pm. These include bouncy castles and other fun rides, face painting, competitions, and of course a visit from Santa. There is a variety of food available to purchase.

Activity on the 'mainstage' starts happening at 6pm...

As well as top NZ artists, a range of 'local talent' is showcased each year - dance groups, art displays, bands, singers and much more, again creating a real sense of pride and 'togetherness' in the community.

The evening finishes at 10pm with a fireworks display for all to enjoy.

Synergy (Cambridge) Trust depends on donations, sponsorship and funding to be able to continue to provide the Waipa District with this event.

We are grateful to have the financial support of a number of community funding groups including...
